Paw & Perch began with Cajou. Living with him opened our eyes to the meaningful connections pets create—the way they bring people together, spark unexpected friendships, and become part of the rhythm of everyday life. That connection became the inspiration for Paw & Perch.

We wanted to build more than a place to shop. Paw & Perch is rooted in the shared experience of life with pets and the community that grows around them. That vision also inspired Perch Society, a space for stories, practical insights, Cajou’s adventures, and the little extras that make being part of the Paw & Perch community feel personal.

From that foundation, we choose products with intention. Our collection is deliberately edited rather than endlessly expanded, with an emphasis on thoughtful design, practical function, comfort, quality, and the ways products fit into real life with dogs and cats. Not everything earns a place at Paw & Perch—and that is very much the point.

Sustainability is part of that consideration too. Through Eco Essentials, we make it easier to find products with specific, supportable environmental, animal-welfare, or other ethical qualities. Our How We Choose page explains the standards and evidence we use, as well as the trade-offs we consider when information is incomplete.

Just as important as what we offer is how we show up together. Paw & Perch is built on respect, kindness, and inclusion. We ask that shared photos, stories, and interactions reflect care for pets and consideration for one another. Our community welcomes people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, united by a shared love of animals. Content that promotes harm, exclusion, or disrespect has no place here.
